A lot of guys are trying to get a jump on the season right now.
If I can wait, you can wait. This snowfall as damaged the ice more than most of us realize. I was checking the ice yesterday and found that the ice had actually deteriorated a great deal from 3 days ago.
Please take your time and avoid the snow ice. WHITE=BAD
I'm giving it 2 more nights, and simply making the suggestion that it may be wise to give it at least another night, especially if you're traveling. Sometimes when we drive a long way we're reluctant to walk away when conditions are less than ideal.

Just some food for thought.

Couldn't agree more, I ended up staying in town, but am waiting to try until Monday.
