If you have lost your Mora or Lazer plastic blade cover, a plastic coffee "can" can be used in it's place with a bungee cord to hold it in place. The Folgers classic roast 22.6 oz size is not quite big enough to cover a 7" Mora but may fit a 6".
My 5" Lazer rubber strap keeps breaking. I replaced it with a section of a bicycle inner tube that had been patched a few too many times. Works better than the original and is much easier to get ahold of with gloves on since I left plenty of extra length and put knots at the ends.
This sure beats paying $20-30 for the OEM replacement and does the same job.
