Title: Any panfish reports from the soft water?
Post by: slabslayer on December 12, 2011, 03:20:28 PM
Trying to figure out if it's worth my time to head up there to fish this year?  Last ice season was terribly disappointing on Mogadore.  All the great 'gill action was out the window, all I caught were small ones.  I think my biggest was 5 inches.  I know the back bay is one of the first places around here to freeze, so I may give it a shot anyway to scratch the itch, but I was wondering if anyone was catching any quality bluegills or crappie at all this year????

Ive heard they have been catching large amounts of large crappie in the main lake as of 2-3 weeks ago. Not sure of excatly where but I will find out. I think we will be fishing off palm rd. before anywhere else. Id rather catch those dinks then be sitting on my couch. lol.

Agreed!  That's usually the first place around here to get safe ice.  The crappie is encouraging, hopefully won't be dead like last year. :)
