Just live a few miles from the East ramp on West Branch and check the lake about every day. Will post a report every day or so. Lake is open at this time and all of the docks are still in. The docks at the campground stay in all winter. The water level is such that all ramps can be used. No boats on the water so far today. Coach

Thanks for the report. I hit Walborn in the rowboat again today. I'll post the results! ;D

As of Thanksgiving West Branch water was still open and pretty much ice free. Some boats out. Coach

As of Sunday 12-01-13 most all water west of Rock Spring road had a thin coating of ice and the water east of Rock Spring road was ice free with the docks still in. That won,t last long. Talked to a fisherman who just got to shore who caught two Musky casting weed lines. Coach.

65% of West Branch is covered with a thin layer of ice. Most all water between rt.14 and Rock Spring is covered while about 75% of the water between Rock Spring Rd. and the beach is covered with very thin spotty areas of ice. Most all water between the beach and the dam is open. All boat ramp docks are in. The East boat ramp can still be used.
