Lake Erie / 2011-2012 ICE SEASON
« on: December 08, 2011, 09:25:06 AM »
It wont be long now and we are booking up quick. Our bait has been caught and is waiting for
its chance to "shine".
I am looking forward to seeing some old friends and meeting new.
The Islands region of Lake Erie is some of the most productive waters for Trophy Walleye and Jumbo Perch in the World. Over the past ten years I have studied these giants and been able
to land and document 13 Monsters over 11 pounds. The biggest being 15.3 pounds. My customers have done quite well also. We have people from all over the country that make the pilgrimage to the Island each year for their opportunity to whack one of these Hogs.

I try to take everyone to where I would fish and it pays off.

Lake Erie / kayak fishing the Islands
« on: March 15, 2011, 11:36:31 AM »
With the passing of the ice it is time to employ other means to hunt monster eyes and trophy bass. The kayak is a wonderful way to track the fish down. I am now booking trips.

Lake Erie / Last ice bite!
« on: March 10, 2011, 12:36:59 PM »
Yesterday was the last day I ran trips this season, what a way to end.
I had the honor of fishing with some very good fisherman and the bite was
increadible.
We caught some of the biggest fish of the year in the last 14 days.
I came up with a new move "The Firefly", very productive.
I am now booking trips for next season and spaces are filling up fast.
Dont be left out of a bite, I will take you where I would want to be fishing.

Lake Erie / Bass Islands

The fishing has been very slow. Water is looking better every day. The
fish seemed to be moving more today. We are on about eight inches of good ice, very rough driving however. Any day now.

Lake Erie / Good year
« on: March 11, 2010, 10:09:29 AM »
I would like to thank everyone that fished with Buckeye Fishing Charters this past season.
Also I would like to thank everyone that helped from top to bottom.
If it was not for three die-hard fisherman that talked me into going out in the rain at 615
I would not have got my big one. Thanks Jeff, Tom and Whitey.
And of course I could not have done it without the support of my family, Dylan and Mama. They put up with the long hours and the fish smell all winter...
Last but not least,  by any means... I have to thank the Jig, my buddy John.

It wont be long boys. I went off New Ramp, West side of SBI the other day in my kayak.
There were marks all over, water was dirty.
Now would be a good time to think about booking your 2009-2010 trip to the island. First come first serve.
