Are using the cooked shrimp? I've always used raw. Never through the ice but I've caught a lot of different species of fish on it in soft water.

The bass was actually caught 2 yrs. ago on the ice. Was just trying to learn how to resize the pics. That is a friend of mine in the picture he caught 2 that size that day and we had some others hooked that ran drag and we never got to see them. Yes they fought good. He was caught in 18 ftw on a Swedish pimple.

Works real nice. There is a tension knob to control speed of the spool. It also retrieves line at 19" per turn of the handle. Great deep water reel. I would recommend it to anyone. I hope to get another one next year.
