are you sure your not related to Thomas Eddison, CRV would love to have that. He only uses wood all winter. He cuts 7 cords himself.

Wow interesting. I split about 5 cords a year and i saw it smoking at one point was that from the size of the log being too much for the powerhead?

That's cool.  I heat all winter with an outdoor boiler don't have a log splitter.  But most of my wood is 3-5 feet in diameter so I can't get into a log splitter, have to do it by hand with a wedge and 20 pound hammer.  Every time I save up for a splitter, I end up spending my money on fishing gear!  Really cool idea though. ;D

Yes it is very unsafe. Just like ice. The first time you don't respect it its all over.
