Sounds like ice

Took out the dogs at 5 this morning and heard music to my ears. The neibor has a serious water problem and has a small lake in the back yard. It was to dark and far to see but sounded just like being on a lake on a very cold day. Ice a cracking and popping.  put a smile on my face

hoping to be on the ice by newyears. as long as the wind doesn't blow, we should be getting ice soon. hope we get a decent start before the rain and warm weather saturday. can only hope for the best since it it still early.

I  watched the ice slowly form back across my pond last nite before dark.
