you meant bass sized fatheads? I think?
give it a go, I have tried minnows ( not emerald shiners) for perch
with poor results. never tried them for eyes though

I think ice fishermen are the reason the planned path is the east side of south bass to millers. I theory that should kill us.
it's the normal route used for miller's. freight and vehicles on miller's, are hauled to east side of S.B.

ice is definitely thinner there. not a lot of clear ice, more white
ice. guys still out there but use caution. still 10-12"

caught some n/ne off millers yesterday.
lot of current there, was using 3/8 oz. castmaster, anything smaller would be pushed out of sight of fishfinder. I was targeting eyes and marked more but they would shy away from that big of lure

notoriously a bad area for ice. plus the airboats servicing the islands run through there. nothing to lock the ice in on that side either!
several people and quads have gone in already this year.

we got fish early today, then at about 10 o'clock it just died.
had a few lookers after that but no biters.  took four in the first hour and a half.  looks like travel was rough over the weekend, tightened up now but it was like running on a washboard!!

Short story- couldnt get title transfered on 4 wheeler and partner backed out for feb 8th-9th. Willing to split all costs whatever that entails. Anybody up for feb 1st-2nd or feb 8th-9th?????
to do what?   maybe a little more info. on what your trying to do?
fishing is good with a walk out of Catawba-metzgers,minimal cost of bait&gas to get there

We sit on ice for hours, most probably sit n deer stands for hours too. I have always wanted to sit and wait over a baited car or truck. Come on, this will be fun. Now we know of the idiots hot spot. This is more than once in a few days. We will grab and trap this animal and youtube it under the heading " Not My Ice Gear " and show the rest of the idiots what to expect if you mess with guys on a slow bite. Anyone want to go hunting sometime soon? ;D
that would be great.would love to help, let me know!!
