My old garmin model 60 blue screened this weekend during the snowstorm on erie. Looking for another gps. Would like to find a garmin model 60 csx, something that will take a sd card, but might consider all others. Just want one that works good in all weather. Mike

A buddy and myself tore the gills up this weekend. Came home with a 5 gal bucket full. Felt good. Most fish were 7-9 inches. A couple 10 inchers mixed in too. Mike

Shanty Help / Re: Two Man Flip Shanty
« on: December 18, 2010, 05:54:10 PM »
As far as quality goes i think they have really fixed any problems that they have had. They have increased the tub strenth and added a lot of quality additions to them. I would be suprised to hear of any quality control problems now.

I have a fish trap pro and a trap guide. The runners are 50 bucks, a set of ski's are 2 bucks or free at goodwill. I pull mine with an atv or by hand, It glides and the ski's won't wear out. Mike   ps, if your close to Bucyrus, I'll give ya a set of ski's, got a few !!! ;D

Bait and Tackle stores / Re: F & S Bait Farm - Near Kiser Lake
« on: December 12, 2010, 12:46:26 PM »
F & S Bait Farm is just 1/10 of a mile south of 36 on Alcony Conover Rd. It is about seven miles from Kiser Lake, but to the best of my knowledge there is no bait shop closer. This place is all about live bait and nothing else. No tackle to speak of just live bait. They will really load you up for next to nothing. I have paid for three dozen minnows and routinely get 6 dozen plus. Today I bought 100 spikes for $2.00. They are a bait distributor that sells live bait to area bait shops so they aren't too concerned about loading you up because they have plenty of bait on hand. Just my opinion! Not much of a place to look at, but a lot for your money. 567-242-9805 (I know, weird phone number) 7880 N Alcony Conover Rd Conover, OH 45317

Called the phone number listed  and got another contact number for the bait shop itself, call Fred, 937-216-9001. Get ready fella's, ice is comin, be safe though.Mike

If the ice is relatively clear, snow free, I have a 3 wheeled golf cart, works great, strap on a couple buckets and away ya go. Mike

General Discussion / Re: ice cleats

I like the ones made by H.T. Enterprises. They are a rubber, pull on type. Not a real aggressive cleat but will by any means, keep ya upright ::). As the old saying goes; any is better than none !!! I pick mine up at Wallyworld at the end of the season closeouts for about 2 bucks a pair, normally sell for 7.99/pr. I wear a size 12 boot and get the xxl ones, they're a little hard getting on at first, but they stay on. Mike
ps, pray for ice, can't wait myself.
