I read an article on the United States Icefishing Team, at 1 point the team finished dead last 6 years in a row, the last year they fished on home ice and still placed last. Discouraged they did some research on why they kept losing. The reason came down to something as simple as how they tied their jigs to the line. They didn't explain in the article on the different ways to do this or the proper way. I did find out with my own research but I'm interested on your thoughts on how you tie your lure to the line. With some investigating you can find out how they do it now. The method is simple but like I said I was wondering what everyone thought was their best way?

when using a balanced jig, i ALWAYS use a loop knot. Several to choose from, but regardless the style, it alows the jig to hang level, and transfers minor and even unnoticed action to your bait.
Also when using live bait(minnows), i'll use a loop knot, to alow more room for the bait to do its thing.
