Hey Guy's and Gal's,

I know we are all wanting to get out on the ice. I know a few are going to try it tom.

If you are going out do not go alone!

Have a rope and Life jacket or a throw float.

Always keep your ice picks handy.

You must spud your way every foot even if you see that someone has already walked that way.

I almost went through 2 years ago on a path that many had already walked!

If you fall through, you must stay calm and you can get out. Please watch the video on ice safety under ice safety.

Please be safe!

Agreed.  We've got a good base started now.  Even if it rains tomorrow, Wed-Sat are supposed to be very cold again.  We'll have ice I hope by the weekend, at least on some shallow bays and ponds that will be safe.

And PLEASE remember to bring a ROPE or throwing line WITH you; in extremis worth it`s weight in GOLD ! Even on 10" of ice you WILL NOT catch me without it. And having to run all the way to the vehicle then back out again is "inconvienant", to say the least...
