Got 1 - 19" walleye in the evening on 1-7-2013. Had lots of marks in just a couple hours but I think the high sun did not have them in a feeding mood. Does not hold a candle to the 6 I got on Sunday AM. The biggest went over 23" and 5#. Most of them caught on a blue jiggin rapala in 7 ft. of water. The big one had a 5" shad in the stomach and several other bones from fish about the same size. Tried to add pics but I could not re-size using resize.com.

I know it's been a little while since the issue they had on the lake but are the fish all right to eat now?
You guys have been putting a hurting on them so far this season!

The state tested fish last year and the flesh was OK. I hope the state continues stocking these fish since they are eating machines. They will put the shad population back in balance if the stocking continues. Plus the fishing opportunities may be just what the doctor ordered for the local economy. We have had too much bad press recently.
