I've read most post on the site can anyone clarify if the tug/breaker is gonna affect goin out of catawba on the coming weekend I understand one showed up near Miller's I dont really think the reason they're breaking matters as much as its effects on fishing out of catawba or camp Perry I hear its been ok from there but dont know where perry is west or east of catawba but trying to form game plan if anyone would care to enlighten me

General Discussion / playing it safe
« on: February 06, 2014, 09:11:51 PM »
So I had an idea I thought how fun would it be to take my butane camp stove and fry up some summer fillets while im ice fishing then I got to thinkin with any luck I could have fish on the ice and cooking fish at the same time thinking about the new regs on transport of fish whole I thought this could land me in a bad place with a wildlife officer  so I don't see a way around that if anyone can they prove me right or wrong cause for now ill play it safe

Hey guys here one I'm dying to ask senior members as I said in my intro I only get weekends to fish well I posted my info on spencer lake last weekend but weekend before 2 ago I went to private honey hole for gills best I ever seen thought I'd kill em well quite the opposite not even a bite this place is unpressured. It has a fountain with about 50 ft circumference it was open did I get a good old case of Lock jaw or could the open area played a big factor was some water turkeys and ducks active in the area if that helps

« on: February 05, 2014, 02:52:49 PM »
Hi everyone I made the drive from Columbus to spencer sat me and a friend fished 12:30 -7:30 despite rainy conditions we finally joined the crowd right off the south half of the lake around 4:30 and had a little action that continued after dark prob kept a dozen crappie I don't know the depth but most fish came on green teardrop or red 18-24 in. Off bottom tipped with a spike right before dark they moved 4 ft off bottom and took double waxy after dark  best luck was minnow head on tazer glow jig saw very few gills caught
