I took a metal paint roller screen used in 5 gallon buckets and attached the lip hangers to the handle uprights with self tapping screws, came out about 6 inches to form a shelf and then bent it down to contact the safety grill and used wire to attach bottom to grill. Works great!! Allows me to set a metal coffee cup on it to keep it warm and can take a foil wrapped sandwich and toss it on there to warm it. Nothing like a warm cup of coffee and and warm sandwich when the fish aren't biting. Been using this set up for 2 years now. Also mounted two L brackets on my Clam tub and put two small bolts with jamb nuts that line up with wall mount holes on back of heater: keeps heater from bouncing around.
