I got a grandson that will be going into the Navy in July. I want to get him out on Erie atleast one more time in June before he goes. Over the years I have taken him on headboats a few times but though it would be nice to get him out on a smaller boat one time. I have all the gear we would need for jigging on casting Erie Dearies and worm harnesses though June may be trolling time. I will gladly pay for gas and bait and such.

I have said for years when people say there are eyes in Nimmy that if there are they are rarer than a sighting of Bigfoot riding a unicorn. Well Wednesday night not only did I see Bigfoot riding a unicorn but also saw a leprachaun riding Nessie.
I caught my first ever Nimmy Eye (after 20,000 hours fishing the lake) about 7:30pm. It was a nice 24 incher which was followed 20 minutes later by a 23 incher. I then lost one at the shore which was followed by a 21 incher. I lost another at the shore as I tried to rush landing it. I finished my epic night with a 14 incher. All this happened in about 90 minutes. The good news is they are still stocking or they are reproducing as last known stocking was 2018. Sorry no pics, I have them and will attempt to post.

Now that I am back to being able to fish reasonably well I am looking towards the coming ice season. Where is everyone olooking to head this season? Am hoping to hit another different lake up North, maybe St Helens. Am also hoping to do the ice tourneys in NW PA if I can find a committed partner. Of course Erie if possible.

I need to pick up a suitcase shanty in Obetz and will be attending the tournament on the 9th. I was hoping maybe someone who would be attending the tournament may live in that area and could do me a big favor and pick it up for me and bring it to the tournament,
Thanks

Did the site close and nobody tell me? First dock tourney is in 2 weeks and nobody is here. Wake up and put some life back in the site.

Thought I would start a thread on who has ice gear out. Mark's Bait and Tackle will put his out 1 November. However, if you are looking for something specific like an Otter shanty give him a call he may already have it in the back. FFF has ice rods out and a few small Pin Min type jigs.

So where is everyone thinking of going in 2020? Of course, I know Erie is on the list if we have the ice. Right now am thinking maybe Simcoe, Saginaw, or the C lake in NY. Liked Hubbard and wouldn't mind trying it again but it is a long trip thru some really back woods areas.
