Thanks toadfish. Me and a buddy came up last week and kept a few but then we heard that we might not want to eat them. I hate to waste fish so just want to make sure. I'm going to cook them up tomarrow.

I just called Mike's 937-843-2261 he said that it has 4-5" clear ice shallow. Not to many venturing out far.

What has worked for me in the past is to open the hook point just a little. Make sure you don't bend down the barb or go too far and snap the hook. I seem to hook the fish in the top of the mouth instead of the lip. You'll have to experiment with the angle a little. Hope this helps.

Hasn't been a good year.  Afraid because of the brush piles the docks may be a thing of the past.
I have not fished CJ for about 10 years. Did they add a bunch of brush to the main lake? If so does anyone know the locations so I can fish they this spring in open water?

Well do you think we will get enough ice to fish either one of them before spring?

Does anyone think we will get enough ice growth to fish before spring? I sure am hoping for it. I live down by Cincy and don't want to travel that far just to find open water. Thanks for the help.
