Fish off the yacht club. A good 7 inches of ice. Fished from 7am-11am. 70+ fish between the 2 of us. Mostly crappie and a few gills. Saw a few perch and a saugeye on the ice as well. Most fish caught on pimples or jigging rap tipped with wax worm. Minnows also produced fish. Fished in 9.5ft.
Include perch back into the series next year. I know there were some nice perch caught at nimi and mosquito that were bigger than some of the gills and crappie weighed in but they didn't count.
Fish this morning south off the causeway. Caught a few perch and walleye. Moved south off the state park and caught a bunch of perch. Only a few perch with size. Still a ton of ice, at least a solid 15in.
Thinking about heading up tomorrow and fishing south of the causeway. How are the edges holding? Coming from Canton area and lakes around here have a good 14in still just a little slopy. Any info would be great! Thanks!
Does anybody know anything about Seneca Lake down below Salt Fork? Do they drop the water level down? Interested in going down and know of a few spots to fish, just never fished it through the ice.
I was out last week and know there is plenty of ice, but was wondering if all the snow melted off with the little warm up. The walk was brutal last week with a foot of snow and slush with 2 inches of water on top of ice. Plan on coming up this weekend. Thanks for the info!
