If the size is small enough this would be perfect for ice fishing. Swivels are not always used but sometimes make the difference when fishing on the ice. when a presentation hits the water it usually begins to spin due to line memory, the shape (spoons), or just how it fluttered down. Either way a semi dormant fish will usually sit there and wait for the lure to sit still before taking the bait. The problem with traditional swivels are they a a bit bulky for ice fishing applications and have a tendency to freeze up rendering them useless.
