Ok I'm thinking about coming up this sat. Couple ?s tho. Have the fish been biting very well? It a pretty long drive for me and I would like to at least catch a few if I come out. And second, do you guys usually just fish jigs or should I get some bait? Minnows, waxies? Also I've never fished alum so is there a bait shop near the marina that's open? Thanks for any help

 The fishing has been slow. But it is more of a social event. Most have been caught with minnows(either on lures/jigs or plain hooks). There is a bait shop a few minutes away(Crestshire market). They open at 6A.M.

You will have a blast, if you are looking for fish to take home there is usually some you can have. We are mainly getting gills with a few crappies mixed in. You can have any I catch this week, see you there.

No I've got plenty in the freezer I just like catching fish But either way I need to come out. Want to meet you guys in person and need to take the new lowrance on a trial run. See you guys tomorrow

A few days back when the weather was a bit cooler, the fish were slamming the bait. With the warmer weather it has slowed some. They're still being marked, but takes a bit more finessing.

I'm bringing secret bait to try and some more lures.

The only problem with secret bait is sometimes the fish don't know about it 🎣😁

Not only that, dynamite is only a secret for a few seconds,then boom everyone knows about it.
