Catwaba is still good! Buddys have been doing well this week. Fishing can be hit or miss at Crane or Catwaba. Fish are scattered everywhere thru out the basin being mobile is the key.

I agree with Jonny, at least 8lb. I use 10lb fireline that is a 4lb diameter as mainline connected to 10 lb florocarbon with a barrel swivel to help with line twist. Usually about 26-36" of floro with a duo lock snap to lure, makes for quick and easy lure changes. I like the fireline as there is no stretch allowing you to really sink the hook into the hard mouths of them erie eyes.good luck!!!

Sometimes a move of just couple hundred yards can make your day. Being persistent goes a long ways.

What g says x2. Seems there are good pods of fish scattered in different areas. Key is to move until you get on top of them. Don't be content watching a empty flasher.

Buddy and I fished Sunday 3 miles out of Catwaba. First holes we drilled before dark were good. Got my first fish 1/2 hr before light. Had a blast, blue/silver jigging rap took most of the fish. Buddy and I got limits and threw back a few fish. My biggest was 9.9lb. Moved back about 150 yards and the marks were better. Thanks to a buddy who was behind me. Lilripper!

E can is about 5.2 miles from the ramp. I'm sure there are a lot of fish between e can and the ramp, but that is where we ended up.

Buddy's and I fished out of Catwaba on Friday and Saturday. Friday we managed to get a few real close to E can on #5 blue/silver jigging rap with one shiner. Saturday we fished same area and it was slow so we made a move .8 ne. We were able to find a nice pod of fish, as we pulled about 15 fish in an hour. My 2nd biggest eye ever 12.5 lbs. blue/silver nils master jr shad loaded with shiners did well sat.

We fish sat and Sunday and it was slow for us, 3 fish sat and fished til 11 Sunday with no takers. We ended up running to camp perry from the Catwaba area to get our fish Saturday. Sunday was slower everywhere it seemed, few guys got limits out of Catwaba Saturday and a whole bunch of limits out of camp perry.
