Title: IFO CJ Brown Dock Tournament on February 4th
Post by: davidhoheisel on January 29, 2012, 11:17:41 AM
Since we do not have safe ice we are having a fun pot tournament open to anyone who would like to fish.

We thought this would be a great way for everyone to meet each other.

Also, reports are that there are some very nice crappies being caught right now.

We will be fishing off of the docks at CJ Brown Marina. We will be fishing the Marina docks.

Cost $10 per person. This is a individual tournament.

Start at 8am. Check in at 7:30. Weigh in at 1pm.

Best weight of your biggest 6 Crappies.

You may keep your limit per ODNR but weigh in your biggest 6 Crappies.

Free Pack of McCoy fishing line to everyone who enters.

100% pay back

If it is raining than we will reschedule the event.

Please let me know here if you can make it.

Wish I could.  Have company coming in that weekend.  Feb is crazy busy.   Kids day weekend have other family in from New York.  Hoping to make Mogadore event if we get safe ice.  Really want to fish that one!

Dave,  how far of a ride is it from Hoover?

C.J. Brown is about 1 1/2 hours from Westerville.
Take 270 West toward Dublin. (10 Miles)
Get off at US 33/Rt. 161 West toward Marysville. (12 Miles)
The last Marysville exit is Rt. 36/Rt. 4 West/South. (30 Miles give or take to Springfield)
Make a Left onto Croft Rd. Follow Croft to Robert Eastman and make a left. Eastman crosses the levee and you'll see the lake on your left.
Eastman dead ends at the entrance to the State Park. Make a left into the park and follow the signs to the Marina, it's about a mile back inside the park.

Hope this helps.

I highly doubt that a late entry in a pot tournament would be a problem. I'm sure you could confirm with Dave.

Good Luck!

Salmonid, No problem.

No yellow suit this year. Grey Ice Armour.

I am sure you can find me when you get to the docks.

I'm kinda looming on the horizon with this one. My daughter is turning 1 this week, and that day we're having her party at 4pm.

I might be there, but it doesn't look likely.

No Chili this year. This was a last minute deal.

I will be giving a free pack of ice line and if we have enough participation i might raffle off some Jason Mitchell Rods.

I will also have a Jawjacker in action.

I will be there after all. I'm helping my wife get the house together on Thursday in exchange for Saturday. Hope the fish are biting, the marina has been more of a first ice pattern in my experience.

I think it is only fair to have everyone walk out on the docks at the same time to be fair. Hopefully this will not be an issue.
