has anyone actually tried an experiment to infuse a body of water with gene healthy fish , 2  produce bigger ones.?  or maybe the stocking should be rotated with different fish on inland water .   ???  I love to babble ...any thoughts ?
[/quote]  actually there's a hatchery in PA, that took 10lb+ LMB males and females  and isolated them for breeding which over time produced a hybred that grows faster in our climate than a florida strain does down south, the hatchery has a patent on them.  I seen a copy of it in they're catalog, i'll try to find the name cuz i'm sure someone's going to say i'm full of it,  ;D   JON

like I mentioned it's been 2010 since I've ice fished it, used to be able to walk down from the access rd on the west side which was also saxe rd, it's now fenced off , might be able to access further down sunnybrook, but lansinger might be the easiest  but with a longer walk,   it's a pretty easy program, once I find the road bed i'll pop holes every 50-100' or more apart along the bed, I like using my aqua-view to be sure i'm in the middle of the road, the perch travel the road like a pack of wolves, pretty cool to watch, anyhow... once I find the pack and know which way they're traveling I keep jumping in front of them,  I use BIG pinmin with waxies,  orange and green are my go to's,      hoping im not too dead a&$ tired to hit it on sunday,

SNAG.... sorry but I just got asked to work tomorrow, as much as I wanted to say no. I can't turn down the OT and if we get the amount of snow that's predicted it could be a 16hr day, ($$$$$) it's been since 2010 that I've hit the roads thru the ice so i'm more than anxious to pull some jumbos thru a hole, if sunday looks possible i'll let ya know,  JON

RKFISH.... don't get disappointed cuz you had 58 views and no replies, people will click on a post hoping for a HOT report (nonmembers), anyhow... I was at nimi Saturday afternoon and the bite was on fire, I had 3 bull gills before I could even get second hole cleaned out, went back to exact same holes sunday morn. and the bite was VERY SLOW.  was like I was on a different lake,

yesterday morning C-5 had 4" inside cove just past first little island had 3"  ice was singing it's growing song.... probably another inch was added since then, lot's of gills 1 keeper for every 20 caught, some crappie.. most small,  only 2nd time I've ice fished here so I really don't know where to go, was fishing inbetween weedbeds, out past lil' island water was cleaner and deeper but ice was thinner, didn't like the pucker factor,
