Looking at going to Tip Up Town at Houghton this year. A friend went last year and they had a great time, of course my friend did come in third for the Walleye Tourney so that would definitely make it fun. We went up a couple years ago but not for Tip Up Town and had a good time. Anybody else been?

Hope you aren't letting the heat keep you from fishing that would be as bad as not fishing in winter because of the cold. Only weather that ever keeps me from fishing is thunderstorms. I fish 3-5 times a week except when there is no soft water but the ice isn't safe. Actually been doing pretty good last few weeks on cats and crappie.

Well should be easy to pick the winners this year as there were I think only 3 fish submitted and I doubt we will have any more ice this year.

       Going by the ice reports I have been seeing for around here I would think that Mosquito would be sketchy as it is a much larger lake. And it is calling for 55 and rain on Friday and 50 on Saturday I doubt the ice will be safe for Sunday. Even if there is some safe ice getting on it probably will be iffy at best.

Talked to Long Bait today. He says his parking lot will only hold 15 cars max. So he suggested if you are planning on fishing North ( like I am) that it would help if we park at North and walk over to check in/weigh in.

Stopped and fished c-5 for a little while today. Ice solid 6 inches but edge was getting bad. Bring the boards.
