Sun Night/Mon Morn Jan 4-5 Observations
on:
January 05, 2015, 09:42:38 AM
Field Observations:
Ladue
was wide open Sunday night, 1/4 & Monday morning, 1/5 including West of the State Rt 44 Boatlaunch & Parking Lot.
Nesmeth
was wide open
Springfield
was wide open
Temps dropped last night from 32 to 16., excluding the Wind Chill Factor.
Steady winds kept the ice from forming, but it wont be long.
I'll be checking Nimmy this Weds morning, Jan 7.
I'll bring all my gear in anticipation of trekking on the ice & drilling holes if it's safe.
Most likely test the ice at C-1 and C-5 (Campground Bay).
I wont go out alone during first ice, so if anyone wants to join me., send me a PM

Let me know if you see slabslayer there, he's got itch and a frozen puddle might just scratch it for now

Good thing they are pillows SLab instead of blow ups. That way you can fish for them and not have as much patching to do.

One of these days when I don't catch anything in a tournament I want to stick that bass pillow in my livewell and pull out my monster bass at the weigh in!
