Yes mine is blue uni plug n I'm pretty shure your 3x is  too my brother has the same unit as u I'll ask him but if I'm understanding what you mean I believe u can get the 4 x  head unit n keep your current stuff n plug n play when it comes to ice they only sell a blue or red plug ducer so unless the 4 requires a diff. Power wire u may b good there is a link for navionics.store thru lowrance page they weren't the friendliest but just email they will give u a basic answer

Well actually I have a underwater camera battery already n soft water version elite 4 hdi lowrance so I just went thru navionics.com lowrance accessories n parts site n bought an ice ducer 69.99 and then bought a softside/ hard bottom portable bag at 19.99 cabelas it has ample space but no base for unit to attach too but I planned to add terminal connection for original battery wire and measure a base to sit mounting bracket too but if I had to do again  I'd just buy the lowrance portable ice kit the elevated base is worth it it fits the bag better cabelas sells battery 29.99 ea. So u add up bag ,ducer, and Battery 110.$ n lowrance has kit for 100-120 I believe if your just looking for ice ducer look at your color code plug it should be blue if it is the site I named has em part pti-wbl the other model is a red boot plug ring hope this helps they have it too

Hey guys wondering if any of the electronically advanced members could weigh in I recently coverted my lowrance hds 4x to a portable n I was wondering if the digital flasher feature will read the same as a traditional dial flasher or are these two different types of "reads" if that makes sense also any tips on settings any members are aware you have to change on lowrance models when you change over to the ice ducer thanxs guys

??? So I've been gearing up so excited to get all my combos together before it starts n before I know it I'm at 6 combos n still plan to add two more that I've convinced myself I can't live without I currently have a cabelas soft zip bag that really holds about 5 n I've decided really want to sell it and move up really like the idea of a hardside case but like to b light as possible and of course affordable but when it comes to protecting your tools is there a price too high ?any of the fellas with the obsession like mine got any products they advise for Say 8 combos thanxs in advance being in Columbus you don't get to put hands on a lot and pics can only help so much

good question 30 as you can see already got all these wondering minds talking bout all kinds of things, happens when you get the fever waiting for the chill but to directly answer your question not that im a senior pro ive given alot of thought to the question in my past and its highly dictated by the bite your chasing it aint always catching so sometimes it can take sticking to your bait when conditions slow but jigging raps in a med size range can catch alot of fish rattling buckshot flyers and vibe blades are my 3 most readily available in my area that i keep as must for most species of course panfish jigs are another ball game which i always bring in case another target isnt cooperating cant leave out pimples slender spoon and phobee grant turned me on to them on here i can confidently say i iced more crappie across ohio than other other bait last year hope this helps out some
