Ice as far as you can see in every direction. Checked the north end and pikey  bay and causeway. No open water. About an inch of ice in the bay. Did not check anyplace else.

plan on overnight trip sat. morn. till sun. morn. any concerns i should be considering as far as thin spots? would appreciate any insight. just want to be safe. hope to see someone out there . by the way do you emerald shiners work better on this lake?

I have  used  them  for  crappie. They'll work!! Used  them  along  side  bait from  the shop and  found  same  results.  One thing noticed  was shop bait  lasts  longer than emeralds in  the bucket  or  on  the hook. If your going  to use pieces it  works
