No need to spend big money on a navionics system.
There's an APP for that!!!
Haven't put it through the paces yet, but it looks like a great tool.
Has many North American lakes as long as they have been topographicaly mapped.
This App uses Navionics along with GPS from your phone.
I will definetly be using this.
I have heard alot of rumbles from Flasher users, of not having an integrated mapping system available.
I think this may be the next best, most affordable & outright coolest thing I have downloaded on my phone.
I hope someone finds this post as useful.
Just search for NAVIONICS at the play store on your smart phone.
Now all I need is the ICE to stick around!!!

I use mine all the time and love it. I sure wish I could export the waypoints!
-
I seen the guys on Midwest Sports TV show were using it to find breaks and they said they use it all the time.
I am going to download it.

The cost for the APP is $9.99...
Which is the cheapest piece of electronic gadgetry I have ever bought for fishing.
Of course that doesnt include the phone, but thats not what I bought the phone for anyways.... Just a bonus!!!

Just bought it! Now need ice to hang around until Tuesday so I can try it out!
-
I am on it....

Nice app! Thanks for info. Just downloaded to my phone ;D Will be a nice addition. Have it on my unit on my boat but didn't want to buy a separate handheld gps.
-
Glad too see people are digging it. Thought for a second I might just keep it a secret but
I can't keep a secret very well. And I would wanna know about it too.
-
Glad to see people enjoy it as well. I used it this whole summer on Erie. Takes a bit to get down the buttons but once you do it is a great tool and really helps in planning. Don't think I will be using too too much on ice. Seems my fat fingers tend to drop things directly over the open hole.

I've had the app for a year or so as well... for 9.99 you can't beat it.. I also have a hand held and 2 fishfinders on my boats with navionics. But, I always carry my phone and sometimes forget to grab the handheld unit

The only bad thing for me is it won't zoom in close enough. Other than that great app.

Used the app for first time yesterday. Showed me a little deep pocket in C-5 on Nimi I didn't know was there. That's the spot I got my big gills and pickeral. Wanted to try its accuracy, so I marked the hole, walked all over the bay and the app brought me to within inches of my hole. Highly recommend it. Most of us have a smart phone, so at $10, you can't beat it, plus, no need to carry other unit. Thanks for pointing this app out love it !!!!!!!

I have been using this app for a while and love it. It is very accurate and it can really help put you on an area that holds fish. Highly recommend

[/quote I have a smartphone and I know what the app store is what I don't know is how are you billed for it.. creditcard, billed to phone ?
-
Cd I think. That's how I'm set up.

Jon. There should be an option to bill it directory to your wireless account. at least there is on Verizon. If not it will let you pay by credit card. I am so happy that I ran across the app. You can even mark spots on unmapped locations. For $10 you will not be disappointed.
