Title: We are fishing on Lake St. Clair!!!!

Well It looks like the whole lake Froze over last night. I walked out a little ways from the day sail ramp at metro. If you go out take a SPUD the stuff I was walking on was 2 to 3inches thick.

Wow 2" thick ice, I can remember when I weighed enough to walk on ice that thick, except I didnt know how to walk yet, guys I know we are all getting  anxious to drill some holes but we gotta be safe!

Guys are saying there is a few areas with 3 to 4 inch of ice.

Keep us posted when its safe and the fish are biting.

I am sure we can get a group of 10 or so who would come up to the store if you can lead us in the right direction.

Ok I did some driving around this morning and this what I saw. The bay out from Gino's and Metro Froze over really good last night. There is still some pockets of open water but those are getting smaller all morning. If this ice can stay locked in, and with these cold temps we could fishing out there really soon.

I would not be shocked to see guys not he spillway anyday now. Before it iced up guys did get some nice pike and walleye from it.Now for the pics!!!!!:D

A customer brought this up he said it came off the spillway. I would use extreme caution on there right now there was some open areas just yesterday afternoon.

The guys that are getting out have all report some very good catches of Gills and Sunnies with crappie mixed in. Perch have started to show up also.

No matter where you go right now use your spud the ice is 1 to 4 inches. Guys have been walking on the spillway since last night use cation.Most guys are hanging in the canals still but some have went out a little ways onto the lake this morning.
