If you are first to pick your day and its the first day of safe ice than you will win a assortment of prizes from McCoy Fishing Line, Jammin Jigs, and Grandpa Bob's Jigs.
Safe ice must be at least 4 inches of safe ice.
My pick will be December 18th at Indian Lake.

After last year, this is against my better judgement to guess a date and jinx things. But, I'll still guess Dec. 20th.

well since last year was a bust and they say you get good ice on the even years ,I gotta go with Dec 16th.

Im not going to give my guess yet. I hope that it is real early though. My grandfather is getting a hip replacment in mid January so we will be heading down to Key West to spend most of the winter helping him out. We usually go down for a month just after ice season ends but not the case this year. With the season being a bust last season and now it dont look to good for me this season. I just want to fire up the marcum and start rippin some lips.

Since 4" of safe ice is the mark....I'll go with Mogadore Res. (THE PALM RD. END OF THE LAKE)on December 27th. But being the dreamer I am......To make lots of people real happy....I'm dreaming for a real Arctic Deep Freeze Blast ( not this teaser we are having) with night temps. 15 degrees or less.....to pay us a visit in the next 2 weeks...SO/SO MANY CHOMPIN AT THE BIT, That "TOMORROW" AIN"T GONNA BE SOON ENOUGH...........

wow since the weather is acting closer to normal this year im going to say dec 31. . . its funny but i pulled all of my ice gear out today and even picked up some new lures at gander mnt...soooooo hope for the best guys

I hope it comes soon. Normally Im getting laid off for the winter now but looks like I have 3 more weeks to go. Would like to have at least a week to get everything ready. I have seen some skim ice on a few ponds in the early mornings. It cant come fast enough.

I had dec 28th 2012 in the other guess the date thread. It had since been removed. Do i win something for being a day off?? Also where is thread??

That was a old board. I deleted it.
If someone gets on safe ice of 4 inches or more on the 28th than you would win if your the first to pick that date.

That thread was for last year, we never got ice. Sorry for the confusion. I started that last year and should have deleted it this spring. This is the correct thread. And the day needs to be exact. Sorry. No hard feelings, I hope. ;D

Ive been holding out on posting my guess. My strategy this year is to wait until someone post there is safe ice. Then as being a global moderator I will then delete that post and hurry up and post that date as my guess .I will then notify the original poster that I had to delete his post due to some site infraction and ask him to repost the info. Now that I told everyone my plan to win I wont be able to do it. I guess I will have to wait until next year to come up with a new plan to win. Good luck to those that have already guessed and please be safe before heading out on the ice.

Technical difficulty, sounds reasonable. Good luck slidding that past these guys , their on top of things. I guest Dec.28 th so it does matter.

Jim it was a dam joke. Really dont care. I was joking as i said last year on the forum we would not have ice til dec 28 2012. Plus who needs one.of.those new cheap looking decals you have to cut out yourself????

We have a Winner! We have 4 inches of Ice at Indian Lake today off of Long Island.
The winner is new member Fire_Line. He was the first to pick January 1st.
