Sir, thank you, actually will credit the new 9" limit, the very abundant shad numbers and yes the cover will help, hopefully. And sometime in the near future we will need the help assembling 300 more...with 1,000+ attracters in CJ, believe it will help the overall fish populations...

Excellent video, used to help train USN aircrew in cold water survival. The ice studs ("cat`s claws") have saved countless lives over the yrs; if you don`t have them INVEST in a pair! Also STRONGLY recommend a "space blanket", very small compact plastic sheet 6X6` with very tough aluminum foil to wrap a victim in...

#10- N side of point between the Tower and the Main Beach; 39 "C" (Christmas) trees in 8fow (summer pool) to 17 fow; the W end of this group is marked by a faded plastic marker tied to a tree on the shore, this end is 5 trees deep, it thins as it runs NE between 8- 15 fow contour, the farthest set is approx. 250` from the extreme tip of the point (summer pool). Thie gruop`s W end is 600` from the walleye net stake and was intended to provide prey for pre-spawn female walleyes; MANY perch and crappies are caught here each spring and summer; good luck!

Gentlemen, will try to get out, where are you parking at? When? Will bring some 1964 Army Corps survey maps that may be of interest to you both; keep in mind they are unfortuneately becoming somewhat fragile due to age...as far as the crappie #s and quality, a large part is due to the current size limits and reduction of daily keep #s from 50 to 30, plus a very healthy shad bloom; hopefully the perch population will begin to climb also...definately would gratefully accept any assistance on our "project"...

Next to nothing is coming off cover? Hm. Saugeye Marc, do you have any suggestions where the cover might do any good? And yes, you`re correct the main reason for it`s placement is as baby fish factories, especially the yellow perch, forgive us but we want their #s to start to climb upwards again, along with the `eyes and crappies. What`s the biggest walleye you`ve gotten/ seen this yr so far? Would LOVE to get out with you guys soon; alas my POS vehicle went down in a cloud of engine oil smoke...

Hello! My name is Lowell H Turner, am 1 of the "Friends of CJ Brown Reservoir", we are doing the "Lake Erie South 2+" project there. Was impressed with some of the posts; haven`t managed to get out much so far due to various reasons. Is any of the deeper cover producing? Specifically, the ravine E of Crabill House (#8A and B, 20- 25+ fow) the N side of the RR bridge embuttment N of the Campground (#3) the gravel bar NW of the Marina (#18 series) and the  area just S of the S corner of the mouth of the Emergency Spillway, about 85- 95` from it (#9C, 20 fow 30` offshore). Lastly the remains of the old RR bridge due W of the NW corner of the Camper`s Point. Have origional 1964 Army Corps survey maps of the whole lake we are using for the project. Will say too we are still looking for help when the weather improves to assemble, load and place another 300 in approved spots; you feedback HELPS us to do a better job for the following yr...as said we are looking for help LATER to get them ready to place. Thanks and DO please give us feed back...

The cover we placed CAN "influence" 5X it`s actual volume during the winter; as you have stated, most of the bigger fish will probabily be on the deeper edges of it...even though most cover went in 8- 15 fow, some have undoubtably "migrated" deeper...

Hello! Was curious, has anyone tried the N side of the old train bridge embuttments(#3 on the map) ? Also where the ravine is (25 fow) just E of the Crabill House (#8A and B)? Or due W of the NW corner of the Camper`s Point (#19 and #19A)? Would be surprised if nothing isn`t coming off the deeper cover...Lastly, has anyone been trying the gravel bar NW of the Marina (#18 series); am sure from sonar some of the brush blocks ("BB"s) have "migrated" down into the old gravel pit...thanks!

Hello! my name is Lowell H Turner of Springfield Ohio. Am a member of the "Friends of CJ Bown Reservoir" (Buck Creek State Park); we have an on going "project" there...somewhat notorious as a former "wee hrs aqua forestry placement person"...banned for life from Ohio Game Fishing for helping to pull off "Lake Erie South 2+"....promises to be an interesting yr there...
