Made it out to moundwood Friday after work..fished from 400 pm until 630.  Had two hit but no chance to set the hook.  Had a few sniffers on the vex but no other hits.  A out 7" of ice and 9.5' of water.

Thanks slab.. since season will be short this year with rain and warm temps on the way, I don't think it would do me much-needed good.

I ended yesterday with more small gills than I could count, 1 perch and 2 bass. One bass was about 13 inches. I will be out this weekend for sure. Good luck and stay safe out there.

Got a report from friends it was 4.5 yesterday should be over 5 today.
Water is murky form the rain an high winds before freeze. Still can be some thin Ice So
Be sure to spud you way out .

Gone fishin' not just a wishin'. 4 inches thick on my 1/2 acre pond. Getting bit on almost every drop with a tiny tungsten jig and waxie. Lost a real nice bass at the hole.
