Checked the ice today . Very thin ice 3 to 4 foot onshore then better ice but not safe .Lake is locked so it should be okay next week .

 Stopped at Nimisilla this morning and the shore ice is tel thin . The rest of the ice doesn't appear to be safe and what I could did went through in two hits . Maybe Monday or Tuesday .

 How many ice fatalities do we need to hear about before it sinks in ? Safe Ice ? No ice is completely safe , 4 inch minimum . I'm as anxious as everyone else but my life is more precious to me ,not to mention my family. Life is way to short to risk over a couple of fish . Get smart and wait on safe ice and catch a lifetime of fish.

Drove around Nimisla , seen a lot of waves . The bay at the camp ground is covered but not safe yet. If the wind would die down it would lock up fast . Won't be long now .

. Well I find myself surfing the web and buying more lures to collect dust . This is due to no ice again this season . Now I'm looking at clothing , I'm shopping as much as my wife . God give us some good Ice .

Between being ill and the loss of ice this season has left a lot to be desired . I got out for 1/2 day .Ntoiceman36 hasn't got out yet . A lot of members are feeling the same pain . Let's all pray that this is the last of this yoyo temperatures.

Went out on Nimi by the dam. Found 3 1/2 to 4 inches. Marked a lot of small fish tight to the bottom but no takers. I still enjoyed a day on the ice .

with the addition of the 1000th member , I thought of an annual get together at Alum Creek . We could put on seminars and have other events . We can kick this around as a Target date of Feb.2014 .Ideas,comments feedback. We could have a on ice iron chef competition this could be great. Alum Creek. as its central Ohio .
