I hear you. I know there are a TON of NO TRESPASSING signs on the docks at what used to be Burch's and I'm not sure I want to head out there. I may stop at a few places and see if I can get permission to park/walk out.

Nice perch. I know of a great spot on East where you can get them like that. I wish we still had access to it...

That was my Flip cam. I'm going to get the new one out this weekend and shoot some stuff at Mogadore and possibly a private pond Sunday, we'll see.
I love the Flip cam though...

Me and 3 of my buddies got out there at 1:30. It was the dead sea... That is until dusk. A school came through and it was all kinds of HOT action. 15 crappie, 1 perch, 1 gill... They were hammering a white Northland Bro-Bug tipped with maggots. It was cool watching the fish fly up from 9 to 5 feet after the jig... Only problem was I was the only one who caught fish... except 1... LOL! Wasn't a problem for me! LOLOLOL

Spent the afternoon from 1:30 til dark out there. What a great day. Pulled in 10 real nice gills and about 30 crappie. Let the crappie go to fight again another day. They were all 8-9 inchers anyway.

Beautiful day on the lake, that's for sure. Going back out this afternoon.

Orange jigs w/ maggots were the ticket. White Bro-Bugs worked well too.

I may try and get out there Wednesday afternoon. I have a Dr. appointment in the AM and some errands to run, but my afternoon is free and easy.

I'll be hitting the campground bay, otherwise known as "Haynes Bay".

We got out a little late... About 9 or so... Got a few crappies, saw a bunch but they wouldn't hit. Lots of lookers.

I think next week I'll be out before dawn and going to stay all day. I want to explore that lake.

If you fish in the Akron/Canton area, check out the story I did today for WKYC TV 3 in Cleveland. A wayward cormorant and teh Stark Parks district needs our help!

See you on the ice.

Got sort of a late start this AM but made it out on the ice with my son Nick. 4 to 5 inches of ice. Set up in around 6 FOW and immediately started pulling bluegills. We ended up with 60+ fish (lost count) but most were dinks. Did get a small pike or muskie... had no marks on it so I'm thinking muskie. Moved around a couple times but could only weed out 12 or so keepers. All fish were released.
Great day to be out. There were 8 or 10 others out too. Silver was the hot color, along with chartruse. We used wax worms.
