how is the ice and where should I look for fish?

ice is every bit of 12in thick.

best spot so far is the far south by a tree sticking out of the water.  i fished about 20ft off the tree and have had good luck on the trout.  havent really heard of much else biting beside small bluegill, crappie, and a few perch.
