Hit Nesmith today with icebucketjohn and steeleneyes and cleaned up. Fishing in 6-12 feet of water and catching bull gills and nice slabs. Would've liked more of the slabs, but 8-9 1/2" gills all day, I'll take that. Actually kept a few fish to eat tonight for the first time all season, looking forward to it! Colors were all over the map, catch 1 or 2 and needed to change size and color. One thing that continued true was not overloading the hook with bait; 1 or 2 maggots, or a single waxie. More than that and they wouldn't touch it. Oh, I also got a 15" bass on a jigging spoon! Nice bonus, but thought it was a slab crappie at first. Here's some pics.
