I went to Devil's LAke about 10 years ago and fished with Ted Robinette.  It was a great trip and I caught about 40 perch a day.  No real monsters, the largest was maybe 112-13 inches.  A couple small walleye were caught as bonus fish while perchin.  Great learning experience for different presentations not normally seen around Ohio.

Send me a private message if you want more info.

I would love to go again, if my budget could handle it.

Jason Mitchell has a guide service called the perch patrol. Last year we had him on and he said the lake is starting to change and they are really catching a lot of Walleye.

They are still catching perch but not like 10 years ago.

If you have a passport i would hit Lake Simcoe. It is an hour North of Toronto and has a ton of perch. I would be interested in a trip there since it is closer.

Not sure how long it would take to get a passport,

I could see how the perch population is going down hill fast since everyone goes there for the jumbos.

Wonder if they ever fixed the flooding issues that they had when i wa there last with the melt off from the snow?

It's my understanding that the flooding actually helps the perch. It adds food to the water. I seen this on show. I think it was In Depth Outdoors.

propably won't need wheeler or sled after Xmas.they will be driving onDL by then. save big $  only reason to need a sled is if bad snow comes through . woodland resort plows the lake if needed around
Creel bay &Military Point. I use 6# Fireline and Buckshot Rattlespoons. Now green is hot color. perch gold also. tiphook w waxxy or minnow head sonar is a must
