Title: Main Lake Ice Conditions
Post by: ratherbefishing on January 09, 2011, 09:39:50 PM
On the trip with MaxDad, we made it out to the main lake just north of the boat ramp and south of the marina. Some guys fishing a brush pile about 30yds away were getting a few here and there, they said. We have schools of baitfish come through a couple of times but nothing really taking but for one hit on the vib'e'.

Ice out there was good, about 5" and nice an clear, just a few bubbles interspersed. I'm thinking that with this cold snap, you might be well advised to get ahold of one of the structure maps from a local bait shop and break out the GPS. The way points are printed with contours on one of them.

This will be my next outing.

Fisher, I thought you probably had a hand in putting most of the structure in that lake!

Go see Sam at Boathouse.
