about 2" clear then out about 30 yards the ice becomes honeycombed and unsafe. That should freeze solid within days then another couple days and MAYBE this weekend. Congress Lake rd was OPEN
-
Hopefully we dont get any more snow then that. Thanks for the report
-
Looks a bit deep but was only a dusting blowing around. This was Palmer Rd
-
Thanks for the post and pic.
-
Thanks for the update, but please be very careful as you check the ice.

Never been to mogadore. With this wind that may be the only fishable ice I see. What part of the state is it in I am 30 minuets west of Cleveland
-
Outside of Akron

77s to 224 e to rt 43 n it will take you accross the middle of the lake
-
Thanks maybe I'll see ya this weekend
-
I have better ideas then the 3" bluegill I caught there two weeks ago.
-
I would almost rather sit at home and play my ice fishing video game then fish the 2 ft. of water at Palm rd. Hopefully CLR will be ready by the weekend or it would be even better to be on The Foot.
-
i agree fishin palm rd is too say the least a last resort....getting on any other part of the lake will produce better fish...im hoping mogadore does get good ice i have a spot by the islands that i will play a hunch on..all you guys new to mogadore the water under rt 43 always moves ...there are 3 good places to get on .. :) lansinger rd just down from mogadore bait,,,rt 43 park,, and congress lake rd,

How far can you drive back on the back road from Old Forage? Its been awhile since I was on that part of the lake. I spent a lot of summers driving up and down that road fishing all the bays and points. There is a lot of good fishing on that side of the lake. Its to bad that they shut a lot of it down to traffic. Thats a long walk down that road. ;D

That's the part of the lake I always have done well on.
-
come one ice!!! ;D
-
hey tim i havent been back there for a coons age but i think they shut that rd ....next time im over that way i will stroll thru and let ya know...i know a spot over that way i would like to get to myself...wanna go ;D

I would really like to ice fish off of the north dike. We use to walk up and down the dike and would catch a lot of nice crappie on inline spinners and minnow and bobbers. Im not sure how deep it is there but there was always weeds there but they stayed down a couple ft. from the surface. We would find the pockets in the weeds and pull them out one after another.
