East Side of Mogadore Reservoir (Palm & Saxe Rd) was completely covered in ice. See Pics.

Mogadore Palm Rd isn't very deep. And the lake level was drawn down extremely low last week for dike repair. I wonder if that will hinder the fishing in that back water?

Ice fishing fever is rising higher now! I saw some Skim ice on Grand Lake St. Mary's. Some ponds had some skim ice too. Like to see the snow blowing around on top. A sight usually reserved for later in the year.

Looking up for a long cold season. But for Mogadore I doubt fishing will be any good off Palm with it drawn down that much. Won't take much for 12-18 inches of water to freeze thru if the weather stays like this.

Saw this post this morning and got pretty exited. Went up to Deercreek to look and not a bit of ice yet. If this weather stays cold we'll be on the ice next month!

Went out to check the ice.....Congress lake road east side is covered one small hole 25 yards x 25 yards open the west side is covered with a strip about 25-40 yards wide and a few hundred long with a few holes here and there. Palm road ice by the ramp is about 1.5 thick. Here are some pics.

I also checked out Wingfoot and Lansinger rd. Wingfoot was getting beat up by wind but the coves were froze. Same with the big part of Mogadore
