Let us know how you do.  Took my son last year to head out with Capt. Mike.  As we were checking into the motel, the tv in the lobby was showing a Coast Guard helicopter pulling people off the ice.  YA, got there just in time for the ice to break away.  Hope your luck is better than ours was.

I have a couple of these and also use an aerator to keep the minnows lively and the water from freezing.  Figure if the water is moving from the bubbles, it won't freeze as fast.

My son ("The Boy") and I were also there on Sat.  We were in the two Pak Shacks.  Had a couple bites but that's it.  Looks like warm weather comming on Thur and Fri.  Hope the ice holds.
