While we all wait on ice one thing that has been producing fish locally is the spillways. I've seen and caught some eyes, muskie and crappies in the last week. I've never fished them this early in the year but with the warmer weather they seem to be biting.

You're right CRV, and up my way Atwood has a pretty productive one for saugeyes.

most times i have found spillway fishing better when they are discharging water. used to fish deer creek spillway by mt. sterling alot in winter and catch saugeyes.
