Was up by Akron today and Springfield is still partly covered, but Summit lake was 100% open with a boat on it. I was so jealous!

I drove past nimi yesterday, still a ton of ice. Hopefully this tain knocks it out. I think i saw its supposed to get cold again though.

Yep. Cold thru Sunday. But starting Monday things will warm up. It's that awful period between ice off and boat season. On waters with not much current it's taking the ice forever to come off. Unsafe to fish on, but can't launch a boat!

I know this is a slow time and I usually fish creeks and rivers until the boat sails...
the time you spend fishing cannot be deducted from your life...

time for steelhead and early perchin,crappies and the trout stockings.

any eyes on nimi lately? springfield is open, would be a good time to try and get on berlin down by greenbriar with a little boat.

heading to erie west end as soon as ice moves out,to jig for eyes.
