Wow! Made it to Columbus Yesterday saw no sign of ice from Chicago south. I hope things change for everyone, my fishing pals at home are getting out in some spots, and say the ice should be good next week. If anyone is interested I'm headed back home on the 31st or 1st, if you want to follow. Dave

Dan, Brett and I would like to wish everyone and their families a MERRY CHRISTMAS. May each and everyone find safe ice and catch that trophy of a lifetime. I should make it to Columbus Tuesday evening, hopefully in time for the Chat. Dave

I finally made it on the ice Wednesday. To say there was 2 inches of ice would be pushing it. I went out about 10 ft and fished in 4 fow marked fished a couple bites but nothing on the ice. I was 20 feet away froma nice hole but the ice just wasnt thick enough to push it. We got a half inch of rain weds night so the ice took a hit then it got down to 13 last night, Mother Nature is showing us she still calls the shots. Dave

I am 50 years old and have been fishing as long as I can remember. However I didnt start Ice Fishing until after I moved up here to Wisconsin. The boys and I took it up together in 2007 and it is our favorite pastime.
