Title: Ice is done!
Post by: 30inthabucket on January 11, 2017, 05:55:47 PM
Was out today. Ice was good this morning but deteriorated rapidly. Was cracking with every step. I pushed it as long as I cared to trying to get one more for my limit. I can't speak for anywhere else on the lake but IMO North Fork is unsafe to be on. From what I saw out there today nowhere on the lake is worth trying. Most nervous I've ever been on the ice.  :o

I may have to take the small boat up if it opens up. I should be able to launch by the bridge. But only if it opens, I'm not into busting what I have waited all year for.

30,

Are you Jesus in disguise? I'm convinced you've been walking on water. Thought Indian was done a couple of days ago!  ;D ;D ;D

I wouldn't say we're done, just giving the fish a break! It's only January, we still got some cold weather coming.

That's what I believe. I have a feeling after next week the temps are going to drop.
