Cold weather coming next week. Still early so I'm sure it's just a teaser but hopefully it's a good sign of what's coming. Fingers crossed for a good long ice season.
-
Same here! Snow will cool water down. Not super cold for making ice, but will chill the water down good if we can get a couple nights around 20 we’ll be off and running!
-
Bring it on, lets send 2020 out on a positive note! I think we all could use a little something to make us smile. Grant my friend i have my fingers crossed that hopefully that great lake to the north will lock up and we can spend some time together and catch up while reeling up those denizens of the deep!
-
Hope so too Nate. Can't wait
-
Fingers crossed!

Ditto!! I got a Wilcraft for just that and Erie hasn’t locked up in the 2 winters I’ve had it. Let’s go!!

it has begun ( insert evil laugh )

Water temps have cooled so ice can be made now. Come ion steady cold and no wind. It's getting closer. Yea
-
I can’t wait!!!! Been too long!
-
I have seen some ponds with skim ice. Water is cold, now all we need is steady cold temps, no wind, no snow until the ice is 5 or 6" thick. Too many mild Winters in a row has me chomping at the bit to get out on the ice.

I usually fish Indian Lake and try to stay abreast of present and future temps in that area to post info. under Temp for Indian Lake Area . Although weather predictions are not always accurate,it should give us an indication of safe ice fishing conditions. Hope this helps ! Stay tuned!

the water in my bird bath is froze yeah ;D

I saw some skim ice on some channels and bays on grand lake st marys today. The water temp is right there, ow all we.need is a couple of weeks of below freezing temps!
