Baldwin, Mi is less than an 8 hour drive from Columbus. It is in the middle of the Manistee national forest and is surrounded by cystal clear lakes and snowmobile trails. I have access to a nice cabin, with kitchen and satellite tv (sleeps 4) and 2 snowmobiles....BSL is 15 mins on the sled. Big Star has great pike, walleye, perch, crappie and tiger muskie fishing. Weekends available: Feb 17, 18, 19 Feb 24, 25, 26 March 3, 4, 5 (weather depending) Please pm me with questions and I'll give you my phone # Thanks

I am coming to Indian tomorrow, Monday 1-9. I have never been there fishing. I have good info from today and have been skunked all year so far....I got to catch a fish! Any and all help is appreciated. Also looking for a partner if someone wants to tag along. Thanks

Fished the NE side of the lake, 4 - 5" clear ice, 6' water, clean for buckeye. Me and 7 others all skunked!

Has anyone had much luck with a hand ice auger and a drill attachment? What kind of battery/drill have you found to work best? Thanks in advance
I used one on a couple holes last year and it worked pretty nice but don't remember what kind of battery the drill uesed. I know li-ion dosent do so well in the cold.

How do you think this low water level will affect fishing this year....better than last maybe since they have adjusted? Thoughts/opions?

Checking for interest....Im putting together a trip to lake koshkonong WI in february. There is a house available right on the lake...it is usually drivable in february and there are huge pike in the lake. It's only an 8 to 9hr drive

Most of the lake is iced over with a light coating of white. 12-10-16 @ 2pm Let's hope it stays that way!

Fished the after noon bite, out of the wind in 16 to 25 fow right in the corner of the beach. 5 fish oh out of 7 fish. 1 had already dropped eggs but was hanging around feeding on the pack of shiners hanging in there. Fish mite still be in there dropping eggs this weekend....

Planning a budget trip later February after the expo. 8hr drive, walleye and pike can drive on lake, affordable hotels.
Looking for a cool partner. Can go week days or weekends.

Buckeye ice is no longer safe. Guys went through near the shore and a spud bar goes thru 5" in one shot.
Stay off the ice for now and hope for colder weather.
