tis the season
« on: January 19, 2015, 07:51:09 PM »

The early reports were that several kids were on the ice at Grand Lake , then moments later the eye witness said they didn't see the kids anymore, this caused a frantic panic and all rescue was called out. i know it's about Grand lake but hte main topic is ice safety, this is the type of ice we fall through , 4 days of above freezing and run off. All I can say is 1 know the lake and  how  and where the water is fed into it and 2 SPUD your way around the ice!

We went to a private lake in Ne Ohio today. Walked out 20 feet and the spud went through on the first hit. There were tracks that crossed the entire lake in front of us. Be safe.
