Gosh Chris you're starting early this year I love it, but I heard he got a new camo suit so he could sneak up on the fish and hook them when they're not looking.

General Discussion / Why Vexilar
« on: November 05, 2011, 12:42:29 PM »
A month or so ago David had a posting under this subject. He wrote about the great customer service at Vexilar. I bought a used  fl 22 pro pack this week it was sold in 2007 and the guy had used it only a couple times, so I called Vexilar and talked to Pat in the service dept. I wanted to know if it should be serviced because it sat for so long. Pat told me just when something is wrong with it but he waned to know the serial number. So yesterday I called with the serial no. he looked it up and found out it was made in 2006 the first year for the 22. He also told me there were complaints that people were loosing the bait below 30 ft. This applied to the first 9000 fl 22s made. Pat told me to ship it to him and he would make the adjustment needed and ship it back the same day. So if anyone is having issues below 30 ft you might want to give Pat a call. What a great Company to deal with. Pat also told me if I wait til midseason the turnaround would be more like 2 wks.

I just picked up a Vexilar FL 20 and was talking to a friend of mine, Bob said he has seen some fishermen shoot through the ice without drilling looking for fish they use abaggie of antifreeze between the transducer and ice to keep it from freezing into the ice. I was wondering if anyone has done this or seen it done. Dave

General Discussion / Re: Rapala jigging rap VS Rapala jigging shad rap
« on: October 21, 2011, 09:06:18 AM »
I have a fishing Buddy up here that has a lot of luck with the shad rap, I can fish the same rig in the same hole and have no luck. goes to show we all present differently. They also seem to be best in water 15 ft or deeper. Dave

Scott and Jessie, Good luck in your recovery know that the boys and I will keep you in our prayers. It was 10 years ago January my world almost ended when I got caught in a live PTO shaft almost losing my left arm after years of surgeries and therapy I have learned how to how to return to do the things I love. Keep us posted on your recovery good luck and God Bless. Dave K
