Title: 1/9/17
Post by: wapak ice dawg on January 09, 2017, 02:49:07 PM
got there about 7:30 and by 9:30 I was walking off the ice with a limit, nothing huge but it was nice to get into them . I left that area and went over to long Island to find gills and crappies, I drilled several holes in the bay area and the ice thickness ranges from 2.5 to as much as 8"  there was really no indication as to why the ice varied so much , but thats why I spud my way around. Good luck and hope to see you out there tomorrow. BTW I caught the eyes on vibes

Nice going, times like this I hate work. Sounds like a great day on the ice.

Yeah dawg put on a show this morning. Made the rest of us look bad. Lol. But once he came off the secret bait (which I happened to have one) it was an amazing day. Fished daylight to dark. Caught close to 30 eyes.  Prob 2/3 keepers. Got to meet dawg and fished with several other IFO members. Best day I've had on the ice and one of the best saugeye days period. Too bad its over :'(

Was a fun time tonight. Glad you had a banner day Aaron. Some days it just seems to click.
